  • ANZ/SEA Players - We are going to pay YOU to play in 2016!! $1000+

We are going to pay YOU to play tournaments in 2016!
    SEA Participation Bonus

The OSC team are happy to announce a return of the SEA Participation Bonus, a new initiative we launched in 2015, which was a huge success (A few players played in 100+ events over the year!). It doesn't matter what league, Bronze - Grand Master, it's all about participation! You don't even have to win. We know who our top players are, we run tournaments to see who is the best on the day/month/year, but what we really want to know is, who is the most dedicated?

Season 2016 starts on Monday Jan 11.

There a few changes to the 2015 format.
    • We are increasing the prizepool to $1000 for the year
    • We are splitting the year into 2 half seasons (Jan-end of June, July-end of year).
    • Breaking the system down into 2 'seasons', should refresh the 2nd half of the year, and if you come in late 'season 1', or take time away from the game for a while, you can still go hard and earn $'s in 'season 2'
    • Additionally we be adjusting the value of participation points to 2.5 points per tournament in 2016. Still very helpful points added up across the year!
    • We will be launching a NA/L.Am version of the Participation Bonus (to be announced soon)

    Every 6 months:

    1st $200
    2nd $125
    3rd $75

    4th+5th $50 each

    *$AUD
Bonus 2.5 OSC Points per tournament

*This is our starting budget. Additional $'s and prizes might be added as the year progresses.
We are going to pay you to play the greatest esport going around! Sounds like a good deal!

You can additionally win over $75000+ in OSC tournament prizes in 2016
New tournaments and rewards are also in the works, more $'s, more fun!

Spread the word! Tweet, tell your friends, clan mates, ex players, etc. 2016 is going to be a big year!
    Details/Conditions:

    - Only traditional SEA countries (no China)
    - You must be a citizen or permanent resident of ANZ/SEA.
    - You must play a full series, signing up and being walked over doesn't count.
    - Only you can play on your account, no getting a friend to play for you.
    - There will be checks throughout the season to ensure players are playing on their own accounts.
    - Players must comply with checks.
    - If players are suspended during the year, they become ineligible for $ participation rewards.

    Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship

The Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series (OSC) is the Oceanic, South East Asian, North American and Chinese regional championship, which follows a yearly season format, where players earn points for placing in all partnered tournaments. Although the network is based in and focuses on these regions, many events are open to everyone in the world.

The top 32 players ranked via the OSC Player Leader board at the end of the season are then invited to play in the minimum $5000+ Grand Finale to determine the yearly champion! OSC World Rankings were established in December 2012.

In 2015 OSC partnered tournaments gave away $49735 combined prizepool, we had 189 completed partnered tournaments (up 22% on 2014), and saw 498 individual players with points earned (up 39% on 2014)

Current season rankings and database can be viewed here

GuMiho was 2014's Champion, taking out the $3500 finals series.
PiG was 2013's Champion, taking out the $2100 finals series.

    OSC Supporter Packages

You can show your support towards OSC, and help us put on events for the community for just $8 USD per month! One less chocolate bar/One less beer at the pub/a couple less songs on iTunes, etc, and the money goes towards supporting the scene It's quite common place for players/casters to have a subscription option on twitch tv (which isn't an option for us), and we feel we have much more to give back in terms of entertainment, competition and rewards. Subscribers are also another way we can potentially market ourselves to prospective sponsors, which in turn will result in further growth.

We also provided supporters with bonuses such as event replay packs, and chance to win 1 hour of coaching from top tier players.

If you are interested, you can subscribe here.
    More info here.

    OSC Sponsors!
Without these companies contributing to our tournament it's fair to say the prizepool would be far smaller. But it's not just about the $'s. All these companies have a long history of supporting Starcraft 2 and esports in SEA. They care about the scene and our community. So many thanks to them all! If you esports fans, players etc can send them some love and thanks for supporting SC2 + the Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series it would be appreciated in return. They all are leaders in their industry, so if it comes down to a choice between brands, pick these guys who support esports!

This is fantastic! I like that it even gives an incentive for less skilled players to try and rack up the participation points
